Assistant Clinical Professor, Nursing Practice

Location: Corpus Christi, Texas; physically on campus as needed

What you will do

• Teach nursing courses in didactic, clinical, skills, and simulation settings.
• Manage courses and evaluate student learning through formative and summative assessments.
• Mentor and advise students, support recruitment, and assist with student remediation.
• Coordinate Family Nurse Practitioner clinical placements and supervise Doctor of Nursing Practice student projects.
• Participate in clinical site visits, curriculum development, accreditation, program assessment, test writing, and analysis.
• Collaborate with department leadership, faculty, students, and community practice partners.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• At least two years of clinical nursing experience.
• Current unencumbered RN and/or APRN license in Texas, or eligibility for Texas licensure at the time of hire.
• Current board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner from AANP or ANCC.
• Ability to work physically on the Corpus Christi campus as needed.

Nice to have

• One to two years of academic teaching experience.
• Doctorate in nursing or a related field, such as a PhD, DNP, or EdD.
• Experience with classroom teaching, online course delivery, and online education best practices.
• Knowledge of curriculum development and NONPF nurse practitioner competencies.
• Experience with program coordination, curriculum refinement, student progress management, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
