K-12 Rural Program Coordinator I (Healthcare Education)

Location: Bryan, Texas; schedule/location information also lists College Station, Texas. Full-time role with up to 30% or more travel to rural and remote locations; occasional evening and weekend work may be required.

What you will do

• Plan and coordinate outreach activities, camps, field trips, and virtual learning events that promote healthcare careers for K-12 students.
• Coordinate event logistics, including medical camps, field trip experiences, venues, catering, hotels, and other vendors.
• Build relationships with rural school districts, teachers, healthcare partners, and community stakeholders.
• Prepare presentations, training materials, reports, and documentation on attendance, activities, and program impact.
• Track participation, support outcome evaluation, respond to program inquiries, and contribute to program development.
• Ensure compliance with University Youth Protection guidelines and manage event expenditures and purchases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in teaching, program coordination, or a related area.
• At least two years of related experience in a school district, pathway program, healthcare education, or a related setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, leadership, problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, communication, scheduling, and documentation tools.
• Ability to travel independently by car, work in heat and cold, and work cooperatively with schools, communities, and healthcare partners.
• Ability to comply with security-sensitive employment requirements, applicable laws, and Texas A&M policies.

Nice to have

• Texas teaching certification and experience as a CTE or science teacher in a Texas public school.
• Five years of experience in an educational setting or previous Texas A&M experience.
• Experience with conference and event planning, curriculum delivery, faculty and student collaboration, or junior and senior high school pathway programs.
• Class C vehicle operator's license or ability to obtain one within 30 days.
