Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor, School Counseling and Guidance

Location: Kingsville, Texas, United States; faculty duties include on-campus university service and independent travel to other or remote locations.

What you will do

• Teach graduate counseling courses in online, hybrid, and other instructional modalities.
• Coordinate the School Counseling and Guidance program.
• Teach and supervise field practicum experiences for school counselor candidates.
• Advise, mentor, and supervise counseling students.
• Develop course materials aligned with accreditation standards.
• Support program improvement, recruitment, retention, university service, and CACREP and Texas certification compliance.

Requirements

• Master's degree and an earned doctorate in Counselor Education from a CACREP-accredited institution, or a qualifying Rehabilitation degree.
• 18 graduate hours in each teaching field.
• Certified School Counselor credential.
• Licensed Professional Counselor credential in Texas by the time of hire.
• Evidence of excellence teaching in online or hybrid formats and experience advising or supervising counseling students.
• Any required immigration sponsorship may be affected by current H-1B fee and filing restrictions; the university will not pay the $100,000 H-1B fee.
