Software Engineering Senior Advisor (Java/AWS)

Location: Hybrid work in Morris Plains, New Jersey, United States

Salary: $130,200–$217,000 USD annually, plus eligibility for an annual bonus plan

What you will do

• Provide counsel, technical expertise, and thought leadership on complex software engineering matters.
• Deliver solutions for the communication platform in collaboration with product owners, engineering teams, architecture, vendors, infrastructure, and release management.
• Promote software engineering best practices and support timely delivery of products and projects.
• Ensure solutions meet applicable guidelines and resolve delivery and implementation issues.
• Contribute across the full project lifecycle, from inception and design through implementation, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
• Advise business partners and contribute to project planning and solution development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience.
• Experience with Java, Spring, AWS, OpenShift, Linux, and Windows.
• Experience with Oracle, MongoDB, Kafka, Unica, Splunk, Dynatrace, and ServiceNow.
• Experience with Cursor, Microsoft Copilot, Jira, and Confluence.
• Availability for a hybrid work schedule in Morris Plains, New Jersey. If working from home, a cable broadband or fiber-optic connection with at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload is required.
