Transplant Medical Science Liaison

Location: Cambridge, MA; field-based role requiring residence in the assigned territory. US and Puerto Rico residents only.

Salary: $146,250–$211,250 per year

What you will do

• Provide compliant scientific and clinical information to physicians, healthcare professionals, researchers, and other healthcare stakeholders.
• Translate complex transplant data, clinical evidence, therapeutic guidelines, and disease-state information for audiences with varying levels of expertise.
• Build peer-to-peer relationships with transplant thought leaders and serve as the principal field medical contact for the assigned region.
• Identify medical education gaps, research opportunities, and qualified clinical investigators, including support for Investigator Sponsored Trial proposals.
• Collect and communicate customer insights, emerging clinical trends, and healthcare provider needs to US Medical Affairs and Medical Core teams.
• Collaborate with field and home-office partners, participate in scientific congresses, and support medical education and training activities.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in a relevant scientific or medical field, such as MD, PhD, PharmD, NP, PA, or an equivalent clinical advanced degree.
• At least 4 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biotechnology, managed care, patient care, academic, or clinical settings.
• Experience in transplantation, solid organ transplant, kidney, lung, or bone marrow transplant.
• Must reside in the assigned territory; applicants must be residents of the US or Puerto Rico.
• Strong scientific knowledge, communication, presentation, organizational, strategic-thinking, and independent-working skills.
• Working knowledge of compliance standards, the US healthcare system, clinical research, evidence-based guidelines, and healthcare policy.

Nice to have

• Post-doctoral residency or fellowship in solid organ transplant, bone marrow transplant, or a pharmaceutical program.
• Prior MSL or field medical experience.
• Transplant certification or equivalent specialized training.
• Experience in clinical research design and execution.
• MBA, MHA, or MPH.
