Assistant Professor, PMHNP Track

Salary: $90,000–$120,000 per year

What you will do

• Oversee the quality, consistency, and effectiveness of assigned PMHNP courses.
• Analyze assessment data, exam performance, student feedback, and course metrics to drive curriculum improvement.
• Collaborate with instructional designers to enhance online learning experiences and integrate current clinical standards.
• Mentor, coach, onboard, and develop PMHNP faculty while promoting consistent online instruction.
• Recruit faculty, monitor qualifications and compliance, conduct evaluations, and support faculty operations.
• Support student success, accreditation preparation, academic quality initiatives, scholarship, and university committees.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in nursing and a doctoral degree in nursing or the field of teaching specialty.
• Current PMHNP licensure and certification, plus an unencumbered professional nursing license.
• Illinois nursing licensure must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• At least two years of graduate-level teaching, training, staff development, or educational experience.
• At least one year of online teaching experience.
• Proficiency with learning management systems, online instructional technologies, and Microsoft Office; strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Active compact RN nursing license.
• Academic or faculty leadership experience.
• Experience with curriculum improvement, course development, faculty development, accreditation standards, or higher-education quality improvement.
