Assistant Professor Tenure-Track of Accounting

Location: Main campus in Stephenville, Texas, United States; teaching may also be assigned at other campus locations or through approved instructional modalities.

What you will do

• Teach undergraduate and graduate accounting courses for the BBA in Accounting and Master of Accounting programs.
• Develop syllabi, instructional materials, assessments, and innovative learning activities.
• Assess student learning, provide feedback, and mentor students academically and professionally.
• Maintain an active research agenda, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and present at professional conferences.
• Participate in curriculum development, program assessment, AACSB accreditation activities, and departmental, college, and university service.
• Pursue professional development and external funding opportunities consistent with departmental and university objectives.

Requirements

• Earned Ph.D. in Accounting from an accredited university by the time of appointment.
• Demonstrated potential for excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching.
• Demonstrated potential for scholarly research and publication.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
• Knowledge of accounting sufficient for graduate-level instruction and ability to collaborate professionally with students, staff, and faculty.
• Employment may be affected if immigration sponsorship is required; the university will not pay the $100,000 H-1B petition fee and a Texas moratorium may affect new H-1B sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Teaching experience in cost or managerial accounting and/or auditing.
• Current CPA, CMA, CIA, or another relevant professional certification.
• Professional accounting experience.
• Experience teaching in face-to-face and online formats.
• Active research pipeline demonstrated through publications, conference presentations, or working papers.

• Nine-month tenure-track appointment; summer appointment depends on institutional need and funding.
