Maintenance Repair Manager (Retail)

What you will do

• Manage repair and maintenance budgets, invoices, accruals, forecasts, capital programs, and monthly cost reporting.
• Supervise staff and vendors responsible for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire suppression, water, wastewater, pest control, and related building systems.
• Oversee work-order flow, vendor performance, service scheduling, and maintenance activities through the Nest maintenance service system.
• Develop strategic plans, standard operating procedures, reporting mechanisms, and operational policies for facilities maintenance.
• Design and manage preventative HVAC maintenance and replacement programs, utility-driven replacements, waste removal, and vertical transportation guidelines.
• Build relationships with store operations, Regional Directors, and District Managers while mentoring the maintenance team.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in building maintenance administration, general contracting, or related construction work.
• Experience supporting a similarly sized retail store fleet of 1,500+ stores and stores of approximately 8,000–9,000 square feet.
• Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, business administration, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in a multi-location retail chain environment is desirable.
• Strong organizational, project tracking, reporting, analytical, and vendor-management skills; familiarity with retail maintenance practices and construction documents.
• Fluency with Microsoft Outlook and availability to be on-call as needed.
