Patient Advocate Specialist Supervisor (Hybrid) - Southeast Region

Location: United States; primarily field- and hospital-based in the Southeast Region with regular hospital-site presence and remote/administrative work

What you will do

• Lead and develop Patient Advocate Specialist and Senior Patient Advocate Specialist teams across assigned hospital sites.
• Oversee case inventory, prioritization, workload, documentation quality, and timely progression.
• Monitor enrollment volume, case resolution time, productivity, accuracy, and other performance metrics.
• Coach, train, mentor, and onboard team members while managing performance concerns with HR and leadership.
• Coordinate resources for new hospital installations, site readiness, and operational implementation.
• Build professional relationships with hospital administrators, state agencies, community partners, and internal departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Social Work, Public Health, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in patient advocacy, healthcare revenue cycle, or related healthcare operations.
• At least 2 years of formal supervisory or people-management experience overseeing remote or field-based staff.
• Experience with HIPP, Medicaid/Medicare eligibility, employer-sponsored benefits coordination, or multi-site hospital operations is preferred.
• Regular presence at assigned hospital sites and ability to travel by car or air are required.
• Ability to work in clinical settings and comply with site-specific health, safety, and credentialing requirements.

Nice to have

• Full bilingual proficiency in Spanish.
• Formal supervisory, leadership, or HR-related training or certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR.
