Automotive Technician B Tech (Automotive)

Location: Bridgeville, United States; onsite retail service location.

Salary: $19.57–$31.12 through a performance-based flat-rate compensation model.

What you will do

• Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel, ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment, air-conditioning, and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and required repairs to customers without mechanical expertise.
• Maintain current automotive knowledge through paid formal training.
• Assist with and train other technicians and mechanics.
• Obtain or maintain ASE certification in at least three of the A1–A8 areas within the first two years.

Requirements

• Valid automobile driver's license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Demonstrated skills in brake and hydraulic systems and/or steering, suspension, and alignments.
• General automotive maintenance and tire repair skills.
• Applicable federal, state, and local certifications or licenses.
• Ability to explain technical information to non-technical people, plus reading, writing, and math skills.
• Form I-9 employment eligibility verification is required; temporary work authorization or the need for sponsorship may disqualify candidates.

Nice to have

• Three years of automotive repair experience, third-party assessments or certifications, or completion of a vocational-technical program.
• ASE certification in at least one A1–A8 area; L1 certification is also accepted.
