Automotive Technician B Tech

Location: 021032 Moline Mall, Moline, United States; on-site retail automotive service position.

Pay range: $19.57–$33.47 per hour, with flat-rate, performance-based compensation. First-time hires may receive a $1,500 sign-on bonus.

What you will do

• Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel, ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems.
• Perform general automotive maintenance and tire repair to required specifications.
• Explain technical diagnoses and recommended repairs to non-technical customers.
• Assist with and train other technicians and mechanics.
• Stay current with automotive technology through paid formal training.
• Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certification in at least three of the A1–A8 areas within the first two years.

Requirements

• Must hold a valid automobile driver's license and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Demonstrated skill in brake and hydraulic systems and/or steering, suspension, and alignments.
• Current federal, state, and local certifications or licenses where applicable.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people, with reading, writing, and math skills.
• Ability to meet U.S. employment eligibility requirements; temporary work authorization or the need for sponsorship may disqualify applicants.

Nice to have

• Three years of automotive repair experience, third-party assessments or certifications, or completion of a vocational-technical program.
• A.S.E. certification in at least one A1–A8 area; L1 certification is acceptable.
