Automotive Technician B Tech

Location: 244216 Uptown; onsite automotive service role in the United States.

Pay range: $22.66–$33.47, with flat-rate performance-based compensation. First-time hires may receive a $1,750 sign-on bonus.

What you will do

• Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel, ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment, air-conditioning, and computer systems.
• Perform general automotive maintenance and tire repairs to specification.
• Explain technical diagnoses and required repairs to customers and other non-technical people.
• Assist with and train technicians and mechanics on technical activities.
• Complete paid formal training to stay current with changing automotive technology.
• Obtain or maintain ASE certification in at least three A1–A8 areas within the first two years.

Requirements

• Must maintain a valid automobile driver's license and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Demonstrated skill in brake and hydraulic systems and/or steering, suspension, and alignments.
• Skill in general automotive maintenance and tire repair.
• Current federal, state, and local certifications or licenses where applicable.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people, with reading, writing, and math skills.
• Temporary work authorization or the need for sponsorship may disqualify candidates; Form I-9 employment eligibility verification is required.

Nice to have

• Three years of automotive repair experience, third-party assessments or certifications, or completion of a vocational-technical school program.
• ASE certification in at least one A1–A8 area; L1 certification is acceptable.
