Automotive Technician (B Tech)

Location: 008834 Harney; onsite automotive service work in the United States. Employment requires completion of Form I-9, and temporary work authorization or sponsorship needs may disqualify applicants.

Salary: $19.57–$31.62 per hour through a performance-based flat-rate compensation model.

What you will do

• Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems.
• Perform general automotive maintenance and tire repair.
• Explain technical diagnoses and required repairs to non-technical customers.
• Assist with and train technicians and mechanics on technical activities.
• Maintain current knowledge of changing automotive technology through paid formal training.
• Obtain or maintain ASE certification in at least three A1–A8 areas within the first two years.

Requirements

• Valid automobile driver's license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Demonstrated skills in brake and hydraulic systems and/or steering, suspension, and alignments.
• Current federal, state, and local certifications or licenses where applicable.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
• Reading, writing, and math skills.

Nice to have

• Three years of automotive repair experience, third-party assessments or certifications, or completion of a vocational-technical program.
• ASE certification in at least one A1–A8 area or L1 certification.
