Sr. Medical Science Liaison (Obesity)

Location: US – Arizona – Phoenix; field-based territory covering Arizona

Salary: $172,344.30–$233,171.70 annual base salary

What you will do

• Serve as a scientific and clinical resource for opinion leaders, community healthcare providers, population health decision makers, and other healthcare stakeholders.
• Conduct peer-to-peer scientific exchange on obesity and related conditions, including clinical, outcomes, and economic data.
• Engage clinical investigators and research sites in support of the obesity pipeline, sponsored research, and non-sponsored clinical research.
• Connect internal and external stakeholders, provide field insights, and support medical strategy and patient access initiatives.
• Lead or support congress activities, speaker training, project teams, and coordinated field engagement.
• Maintain scientific expertise, complete compliance and administrative requirements, and mentor other medical science liaisons when assigned.

Requirements

• Work in the assigned Arizona territory is required.
• Doctorate degree and 2 years of Medical Affairs experience, or master’s degree and 6 years of Medical Affairs experience, or bachelor’s degree and 8 years of Medical Affairs experience.
• Experience in a medically related field, including clinical practice, clinical research, medical research, post-doctoral training, residency, or fellowship experience.
• Strong scientific communication, collaboration, relationship-building, and clinical data presentation skills.
• Ability to complete required compliance training, CRM activities, expense reporting, and other administrative responsibilities.

Nice to have

• Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., D.O., or another doctoral degree.
• Seven or more years in a medically related field, including at least one year in clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research.
• At least two years of experience as a medical science liaison in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company.
• Cardiometabolic or obesity expertise and experience managing a designated territory.
