Industrial Maintenance Technician

Location: Newton, Mississippi, United States; onsite manufacturing facility

What you will do

• Perform scheduled, preventive, predictive, and emergency maintenance on plant electrical and mechanical systems.
• Install, repair, adjust, inspect, and test equipment and components to maintain production and infrastructure efficiency.
• Diagnose malfunctions using electrical test equipment, software, technical documentation, and equipment operation analysis.
• Use PLC ladder logic and other controller tools to conduct advanced troubleshooting and repairs.
• Document work orders, requisition parts and materials, and coordinate maintenance activities with machine operators and other team members.
• Perform welding, fabrication, machine shop, housekeeping, and 5S activities while following health and safety standards.

Requirements

• Equivalent combination of education and experience; an associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, electrical, electro-mechanical, automated manufacturing, or related technology is preferred.
• Five or more years of relevant experience, training, and demonstrated mastery of industrial maintenance skills.
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and document complex mechanical and electrical machine malfunctions.
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, schematics, and PLC ladder logic diagrams.
• Ability to use multimeters, dial indicators, strain gauges, belt gauges, computer aids, and other diagnostic equipment.
• Effective verbal and written communication, teamwork, and customer service skills; strict adherence to safety policies is required.
