Nursing Faculty (Nursing Education)

Location: Nashville, Tennessee, USA; hybrid schedule with four in-office days per week, Monday through Thursday

Salary: $53,520.90–$96,736.53 annually

What you will do

• Teach assigned nursing courses in classroom, online, clinical, laboratory, and simulation settings, including flexible evening and weekend classes.
• Develop and implement course curricula and teaching materials using technology and evidence-based methods.
• Evaluate student performance, provide timely feedback and remediation, and support student learning outcomes.
• Lead or support clinical, laboratory, and simulation learning while connecting theory to safe, ethical, and professional practice.
• Mentor students and new faculty and contribute to committees, graduation activities, program evaluation, and professional service.
• Conduct scholarship related to nursing practice and teaching and maintain current subject-matter and teaching expertise.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in nursing required; a PhD in an appropriate field is preferred.
• Current, unencumbered professional nurse licensure in Tennessee, or eligibility to obtain it, is required.
• At least two years of clinical nursing experience.
• Experience with learning management systems, simulation equipment, online platforms, and increasingly AI tools.
• Strong communication, conflict management, collaboration, initiative, judgment, and emotional and social intelligence.
• Maintain active professional licensure or certification and meet applicable state, regulatory, clinical compliance, and scholarship requirements.

Nice to have

• PhD in a field appropriate to the teaching profession.
• Experience conducting and disseminating scholarship in nursing practice or teaching.
