VN Instructor - Full Time Days/Weekends

What you will do

• Teach vocational nursing lecture courses and clinical rotations during weekdays, evenings, and weekends as program needs require.
• Mentor students in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings.
• Improve instructional quality by applying innovative teaching methodologies and online learning activities.
• Review and revise course syllabi, instructional guidelines, and program materials.
• Maintain attendance, grades, skills check-off forms, clinical requirement files, and other student records.
• Submit program reports, support committees and data collection, and stay current with nursing practice, technology, safety regulations, and licensure requirements.

Requirements

• Current, unencumbered RN or LVN license in the state where teaching takes place.
• Graduate of an approved School of Nursing and able to meet Board of Vocational Nursing faculty requirements.
• Either 3+ years of bedside experience with a minimum BSN degree, or 6+ years of bedside experience with a minimum associate degree.
• Current nursing practice and clinical experience, broad knowledge of nursing sciences, and the ability to operate a nursing lab.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Current immunizations and Basic Life Support certification; ATI certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire, with training provided.
