Specialist Student Learning (Nursing Education)

Location: Nashville, TN, USA; hybrid schedule with four in-office days per week, Monday through Thursday

Salary: $49,199.33–$86,253.75 per year

What you will do

• Provide individualized and small-group academic support, tutoring, and remediation for nursing students.
• Support students preparing for the NCLEX-RN exam and help create Next Generation NCLEX activities and workshops.
• Facilitate simulation-based experiences and clinical learning labs, including equipment maintenance, supplies, setup, and cleanup.
• Develop and implement clinically based scenarios using high-fidelity patient simulators.
• Coordinate and supervise lab experiences, staff open lab sessions, and oversee practice of technical nursing skills.
• Document student progress, support at-risk student outreach, and report outcomes to academic leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required; a master’s degree in nursing or education is preferred.
• Current, unencumbered RN license required.
• BLS CPR certification and BLS CPR instructor certification required.
• At least one year of experience in an academic environment supporting classroom instruction or specialized tutoring is preferred.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, attention-to-detail, and proofreading skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in education or nursing.
• ACLS and/or PALS certification.
