Senior NAND Product Development Engineer (Validation)

Location: Minhang District, China; primarily office-based, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

What you will do

• Lead validation, characterization, specification compliance, and production-readiness activities for NAND memory products.
• Define validation methodologies, test plans, coverage strategies, and qualification requirements.
• Develop, automate, debug, and maintain validation, characterization, data collection, and test-execution tools using Python, C, and C++.
• Analyze silicon behavior, performance, reliability, parametric data, yield, and failures to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with design, firmware, process integration, product engineering, reliability, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve product issues.
• Develop screening and guard-band strategies, close test-coverage gaps, improve test efficiency, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Microelectronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of semiconductor industry experience, including 5+ years with memory products and hands-on experience in characterization, validation, product operation, and specification compliance.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor device physics, solid-state physics, reliability fundamentals, manufacturing processes, and qualification methodologies.
• Experience with silicon characterization, electrical validation, failure analysis, statistical analysis, automation frameworks, and data-analysis tools.
• Proficiency in Python and at least one of C or C++, with the ability to solve complex technical problems using data-driven methods.
• Professional English proficiency required. Strong written, verbal, presentation, and technical communication skills are expected.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant engineering or science discipline.
• Experience with advanced NAND technologies, SSD products, or memory subsystems.
• Experience applying Agentic AI, machine learning, data analytics, or large-scale engineering data processing.
• Experience with Git, Linux/Unix, modern software development practices, or AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.
• Technical or project leadership, mentoring, and engineering productivity experience.
