Transcon (Ground Transportation) Manager

What you will do

• Manage the branch Transcon ground transportation department, including personnel, capacity, productivity, and operational quality.
• Monitor shipment, revenue, expense, productivity, exception, and service performance reports.
• Develop employees through onboarding, appraisals, training, feedback, and career planning.
• Build relationships with customers and service providers while supporting sales, retention, pricing, proposals, and business transitions.
• Manage standard operating procedures, service provider evaluations, corrective action plans, and system improvements, including ETMS.
• Oversee department budgeting, billing, accounts receivable, vendor payments, financial reporting, and compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or at least four years of industry-specific qualifications.
• Knowledge of company policies, logistics products, services, systems, markets, and competition.
• Leadership experience with strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Good Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and Word.
• Fluent English required.
• Reliability, initiative, emotional resilience, openness to feedback, and the ability to work autonomously.
