Senior Software Engineer – Benchmarking, Performance & Competitive Analysis

What you will do

• Establish and lead systematic benchmarking and competitive analysis programs comparing hirify.global solutions with competing silicon platforms.
• Design standardized, repeatable, and defensible methodologies for interface and solution-level benchmarking.
• Benchmark Ethernet, PCIe, USB, DDR, serial interfaces, industrial networking protocols, latency, bandwidth, graphics, and AI workloads.
• Build automated benchmark frameworks and test harnesses for continuous regression tracking.
• Prepare competitive analysis reports and present findings to engineering leadership, product management, sales, architecture, and marketing teams.
• Support customer demonstrations and translate performance insights into product requirements and roadmap decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in embedded systems performance analysis, benchmarking, or competitive analysis in the semiconductor industry.
• Experience designing and executing rigorous, reproducible benchmark campaigns.
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols, network measurement, graphics and compute APIs, and industry benchmark suites such as SPEC, CoreMark, Dhrystone, LMbench, GLMark, LuxMark, and Stream.
• Proficiency with performance profiling, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, statistical analysis, and Python automation.
• Experience with Embedded Linux and RTOS platforms, ARM/RISC-V architectures, SIMD extensions, cache hierarchy, DMA, and SoC data paths.

Nice to have

• Experience with EEMBC, MLPerf, ONNX Runtime, TensorFlow Lite, or CMSIS-NN benchmarking.
• Familiarity with TI Sitara/AM-series, NXP i.MX, ST, and Microchip competitor ecosystems.
• Experience in technical product marketing, sales support, hardware emulation, or early silicon bring-up.
