Business Banking Team Leader (Commercial Lending)

What you will do

• Manage at least three Business Bankers and oversee a combined commercial loan portfolio of at least $50MM.
• Drive loan volume, deposit production, revenue, relationship growth, retention, and cross-selling of bank products.
• Direct the development of new banking relationships and servicing of existing business clients.
• Support lenders with complex credit structuring, loan production, joint sales calls, and problem solving.
• Coordinate with branch managers, underwriters, loan analysts, and sales leaders to achieve market goals.
• Assist with department strategy, budget planning, recruitment, training, performance management, and staffing decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or 3–5 years of relevant work experience; an MBA is preferred.
• At least 7 years of commercial lending experience.
• Strong credit skills and the ability to analyze financial statements and tax returns.
• Knowledge of banking policies, products, services, accounting terminology, and business banking sales opportunities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, and professional interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under critical time constraints, attend events outside normal working hours, and travel substantially when required.

Nice to have

• MBA degree.
• 3–5 years of supervisory or branch management experience.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
