Plant Manager (Quantum Hardware)

What you will do

• Design, equip, install, and qualify production and test lines for the first Singapore operations facility.
• Transfer manufacturing, testing, and inspection processes from the US facility and qualify the Singapore line against global build standards.
• Lead first-article builds of dilution refrigerators and ramp production to sustained, on-schedule output.
• Own site-level manufacturing execution, including delivery, yield, throughput, cost per unit, materials, and production scheduling.
• Hire, train, and develop production engineers, technicians, and supervisors, including certification and skills-matrix programs for complex cryogenic assembly.
• Implement quality controls, traceability, shop-floor safety, structured problem solving, and lean continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical engineering or an equivalent technical field.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing or production environments involving complex physical hardware.
• 5+ years leading a production line, value stream, or manufacturing department, including supervisors or team leads.
• Demonstrated experience ramping a new line, product, or production area from first build to rate production.
• Hands-on assembly, fabrication, troubleshooting, CAD, mechanical design, tooling, and fixture-design skills.
• Working knowledge of Singapore workplace safety and health requirements and local manufacturing labor practices; willingness to travel internationally, including extended time at the US facility.

Nice to have

• Experience in quantum computing, scientific instrumentation, cryogenics, or semiconductor manufacturing.
• Experience with vacuum systems, leak checking, thermal systems, brazing, welding, valves, pumps, or pneumatics.
• Quality Management System experience, including ISO 9001 audits and certification support.
• Lean, Six Sigma, machine-shop, fabrication, startup, or US-headquartered global-operations experience.
