Equipment Engineer (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Lead the evaluation, installation, and qualification of wafer-level testing equipment.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for wafer probers, handlers, and test interfaces.
• Drive high equipment availability by identifying constraints and minimizing downtime.
• Implement effective preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure consistent yield.
• Monitor equipment performance metrics such as MTBF and MTTR to optimize production throughput.
• Manage vendor relationships and spare parts inventory to prevent production line stops.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in semiconductor wafer-level testing equipment.
• Strong expertise in wafer probing, handling systems, and automated test systems.
• Proven ability in equipment troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Experience with equipment performance metrics and project management.
• Experience with semiconductor fabs, OSATs, or equipment suppliers is highly preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience in photonics, silicon photonics, optical testing, or advanced semiconductor packaging.
