Manufacturing Equipment Engineer 2

Location: Singapore – Woodlands – NorthTech; onsite role with rotating 12-hour shifts for shift engineers

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on optical, mechanical, electrical, fluidics, PLC, HMI, and automation systems.
• Support equipment uptime, reliability, production targets, and shift KPIs in a high-volume consumables manufacturing environment.
• Lead improvement initiatives, maintain equipment work instructions, and develop solutions to automate manual processes.
• Identify critical spare parts in SAP and maintain appropriate safety stock levels.
• Lead incident investigations, prepare formal reports, and provide technical guidance to team members.
• Mentor technicians and junior engineers, provide PLC and automation training, and develop on-the-job training programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Mechatronics engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 8 years with a diploma in manufacturing or production.
• Experience in a GMP-controlled manufacturing or production environment.
• Knowledge of PLCs such as Beckhoff or Allen Bradley, HMI/SCADA systems, sensors, actuators, and industrial communications.
• Programming skills in Python, SQL, or C#, plus experience with automatic control systems, engineering drawings, and PLC/HMI troubleshooting.
• Ability to work in noisy and chemical environments with PPE, identify component and chemical colors, safely handle loads up to 15 kg, and work rotating 12-hour shifts when required.
