AVP Software Solution Engineer (FPGA)

Salary: $231,500–$375,000 USD annually for the Bay Area, plus performance-based incentive opportunities

Company

Builds a software stack that connects FPGAs to host applications through framework, runtime, driver, and hardware layers.

What you will do

• Architect the end-to-end, multi-layer software stack from host applications to FPGA hardware.
• Own delivery of the host application and framework/integration layers, including application logic, orchestration, tooling, SDKs, and APIs.
• Define stable interface contracts between application, framework, accelerated service, runtime, data movement, driver, and hardware layers.
• Serve as the architecture-level technical counterpart for external platform and framework providers.
• Lead and grow a small software engineering team building and maintaining the production stack.
• Partner with solution architects and engineers on customer proofs of concept and track evolving platform roadmaps.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 15+ years of experience in software engineering, software architecture, or platform development.
• Experience building and delivering complex, multi-layer software systems.
• Experience leading engineering teams and defining APIs, SDKs, frameworks, or platform integrations.
• Eligibility for any required U.S. export authorizations.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or Ph.D.
• Experience with hardware-accelerated computing, FPGA, semiconductor, cloud, AI/ML, or high-performance computing environments.
