Senior Site Infrastructure Engineer

Location: On-site in Seattle, Washington; San Mateo, California; or Dallas, Texas

Salary: $110,000–$210,000 per year. Dallas: $110,000–$176,000; Seattle and San Mateo: $140,000–$210,000.

What you will do

• Plan and design physical IT infrastructure for offices, engineering labs, manufacturing facilities, and data centers.
• Lead site buildouts, office expansions, relocations, data center deployments, hardware refreshes, and infrastructure moves.
• Develop rack layouts, MDF/IDF requirements, equipment placement plans, bills of materials, and capacity forecasts.
• Maintain rack elevations, connectivity diagrams, cabling documentation, equipment records, labeling standards, and DCIM data.
• Administer and improve DCIM, IPAM, and CMDB platforms such as Nautobot, NetBox, and Device42.
• Coordinate with Network, Systems, Cloud, Security, Facilities, Workplace, architects, contractors, carriers, colocation providers, OEMs, and field-service vendors.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data center, enterprise site, or physical IT infrastructure engineering.
• Strong experience with rack design, structured copper and fiber cabling, equipment placement, infrastructure diagrams, and documentation.
• Working knowledge of site and data center power, A/B power, UPS/PDU systems, circuit capacity, redundancy, cooling, and airflow.
• Experience designing MDF/IDF environments and using DCIM, IPAM, or CMDB platforms such as Nautobot, NetBox, Device42, or Sunbird.
• Understanding of enterprise networking, including switching, wireless, WAN connectivity, and carrier services.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings and independently execute infrastructure projects; periodic travel for site and data center deployments is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with distributed or rapidly growing enterprises, manufacturing environments, colocation data centers, or regulated aerospace and defense environments.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, Juniper, Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Dell, APC, or Vertiv infrastructure.
• Experience with APIs, scripting, automation, infrastructure BOMs, cost estimates, lifecycle planning, or capacity forecasting.
• BICSI, CDCP, CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent certification.
