Senior RF Space Systems Engineer

Location: Tempe, Arizona, United States. Domestic travel up to 10% may be required.

Salary: $141,500–$224,000 annually. Certain locations in the San Jose, San Francisco Bay Area, and New York City metropolitan area offer $176,000–$264,000 annually.

What you will do

• Develop multi-function space systems from concept through implementation for defense and commercial missions.
• Define system requirements, architectures, interfaces, integration plans, and hardware implementations.
• Design and analyze payload and electronics systems for space applications, including reliability and EMI/EMC considerations.
• Build system models, simulations, and power and communication link budgets.
• Collaborate with business development, systems, software, RF circuits, FPGA design, test, and other engineering disciplines.
• Work with government customers to develop system-level requirements and solutions while supporting strategic program execution.

Requirements

• 8+ years of systems engineering experience with a Master's degree, or 12+ years with a Bachelor's degree.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline; a Master's degree or Ph.D. is preferred.
• Experience with requirements definition and flow-down, interface definition, system test design and execution, risk tracking, and technical leadership.
• Experience with payload and electronics design for space applications and interdisciplinary engineering teams.
• Proficiency with RF and systems design tools including MATLAB, ADS, HFSS, and Genesys.
• U.S. citizenship is required, along with an active DoD TS/SCI clearance or the ability and willingness to obtain one.

Nice to have

• Experience with MBSE and tools such as Cameo.
• Satellite mission operations experience, including launch, in-orbit testing, and anomaly resolution.
• Experience with STK and taking products from concept through prototyping, launch, and operation.
• Leadership of space systems engineering teams and technical trade studies.
