Senior RF Engineer

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; onsite

Salary: $147,600–$209,520 USD annually for the Senior RF Engineer level.

What you will do

• Own one or more RF products from development testing through mission service.
• Plan RF product design, manufacturing, testing, integration, vehicle delivery, and schedules with project management and interfacing teams.
• Define acceptance, qualification, and vehicle-level checkout test plans and procedures.
• Document and review trade studies, designs, requirements, deliverables, and schedules.
• Coordinate with mechanical, test, manufacturing, thermal, avionics, and project engineering teams while managing vendors.
• Provide RF subject matter expertise during mission operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or another relevant engineering or science discipline.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment and digital RF communication theory, components, and fundamentals.
• Familiarity with programming.
• Product management experience.
• Detailed familiarity with RF components and design for space environments.
• Must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing under U.S. export control requirements.

Nice to have

• Expertise in detailed RF communication concepts and laboratory measurements for RF systems.
• Familiarity with RF antenna and propagation concepts.
• Experience designing for space environments.
• Experience using standard CAD/EDA tools.
