Systems Integration Engineer (Secret clearance)

Location: El Segundo, California, United States; hybrid work with at least 2–3 days per week on site and possible additional on-site days

Salary: $147,000–$196,000–$215,600 annually in California

What you will do

• Develop and deploy Environmental Monitoring capabilities for the U.S. Space Force.
• Develop and execute integration plans for space and ground systems.
• Lead and support integration activities at the system-of-systems, system, segment, and element levels.
• Research requirements, technologies, and threats and apply innovative integration methodologies and tools.
• Integrate remote sensing systems to deliver capabilities for warfighters.
• Collaborate across acquisition and development efforts for space sensing capabilities.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in systems engineering, integration, and testing for space-based remote sensing systems.
• Experience working on satellite programs, requirements development or verification, and interface control document development or governance.
• Knowledge of program critical paths, EVM, technical performance measures, technical specifications, and test reports.
• Knowledge of government contracts and reporting systems used to analyze future performance trends.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics.
• U.S. citizenship and an active U.S. Government Secret clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with space-based Environmental Monitoring, OPIR, defense weather, or tactical ISR missions.
• Experience with remote sensing and space-based weather payloads, satellite buses, and satellite subsystems.
• TS/SCI clearance, a relevant master’s degree, or INCOSE systems engineering certification.
• DAWIA Level III Program Manager or APDP Program Management Level III certification.
• Knowledge of DoD 5000.01 or 5000.02.
