Training Coordinator (Coffee)

Location: In-person role based in Boston, Massachusetts; regular travel is required between stores in Boston, New York, Washington, DC, and Philadelphia.

Salary: $70,000–$75,000 annual base salary, plus equity, healthcare benefits, paid time off, commuter benefits, and other perks.

What you will do

• Support barista and shift lead training from onboarding through accreditation.
• Coach new team members in stores and partner with Operations to build capable teams.
• Lead new-hire orientations, seasonal drink trainings, new-store opening trainings, and coffee and matcha education.
• Organize team events, including Latte Art Throw Downs, across the Boston market.
• Identify training improvement opportunities, create action plans, and share field feedback to strengthen programs, processes, and standards.
• Travel regularly between stores and work outside operating hours, including weekends, when needed.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of barista and training experience.
• Strong coffee knowledge, including expert milk steaming for lattes, flat whites, and cappuccinos.
• Ability to consistently pour clean hearts, tulips, and rosettas using intentional technique.
• Experience creating detailed training content, programs, and action plans.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Full-time schedule of 50 hours per week across 5 days, with flexibility for weekends and work outside store operating hours.
