Manufacturing Technician (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: US - CA - San Jose; onsite at a manufacturing facility

Salary: $61,928.00–$81,485.00 per year, plus a bonus opportunity

What you will do

• Build and integrate complex systems and subassemblies using detailed mechanical and electrical work instructions.
• Interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics and use torque wrenches, digital multimeters, gauges, levels, and electronic data capture tools.
• Calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and prepare systems for shipment through controlled disassembly, protective packaging, and documentation.
• Maintain accurate build, handoff, and traceability records in designated systems.
• Partner with engineering, supply chain, quality, technicians, and operations teams to resolve issues and meet production schedules.
• Identify improvements in safety, assembly processes, workplace organization, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience assembling, integrating, or troubleshooting complex electromechanical systems; semiconductor experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience with mechanical fasteners, electrical interconnects, torque requirements, basic pneumatic systems, precision measurement, and metrology processes.
• Working knowledge of hardware, software, and system-level integration concepts.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, work at benches or assembly stations for extended periods, and safely operate standard and precision tools.
• Ability to work assigned shifts and overtime, including weekends or holidays during peak demand periods; proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
