Manufacturing Equipment Technician (Electromechanical)

Location: Fairport, NY, United States; onsite manufacturing role

What you will do

• Test electro-mechanical assemblies, products, PCBAs, sub-assemblies, and customer products.
• Test and troubleshoot engineering prototypes and automated test programs using LabVIEW or similar tools.
• Repair and rework through-hole and surface-mount PCB assemblies.
• Train technicians and assemblers on established processes.
• Maintain material inventory control and ensure tools and equipment function properly.
• Support production safety, documentation updates, process improvements, and cost-reduction initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience with electromechanical or electronic product assembly and PCB assembly.
• Proficiency with electromechanical hand tools, soldering, surface-mount assembly, and PCB repair and rework.
• Ability to use LabVIEW, custom test and calibration software, Microsoft Office, and production control software.
• Ability to read engineering schematics, drawings, and production work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail, prioritization, multitasking, communication, and consistent quality.
• Ability to stand for sustained periods, move around the facility, bend, and regularly exert up to 20 pounds of force and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Technician or associate degree in mechatronics, electro-mechanical engineering, electronics, or a related field.
