Metrology Maintenance Technician (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in the photo, metrology, and automated material handling equipment areas.
• Maintain, repair, upgrade, and monitor metrology and defect inspection equipment, including four-point probe, atomic force microscopy, CDSEM, film thickness, and defect inspection tools.
• Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems, including consumable changes and other equipment activities.
• Complete maintenance documentation and train other personnel on equipment maintenance.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and internal and external groups to meet safety, performance, and reliability requirements.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in metrology or defect inspection areas.
• Associate degree in Electronics, industrial engineering, or a related discipline is preferred; equivalent experience may satisfy the education requirement.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance functions, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication.
• Solid understanding of SPC and FDC and their use in improving equipment performance.
• Ability to stand for up to 10 hours, occasionally stoop or crawl in confined spaces, and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
