TL;DR
Technical Program Manager Intern (Hardware Engineering) (Clean Energy Hardware): Supporting hardware programs from concept through production with an accent on validation testing, certification, risk tracking, and cross-functional coordination. Focus on building validation roadmaps, coordinating prototype builds, analyzing build-to-build variation, and driving test and compliance issues to closure.

Location: Mountain View, California, United States; full-time, on-site

Salary: $30–$40 USD per hour

What you will do

  • Track program milestones, risks, schedules, and progress across engineering, reliability, testing, and compliance teams.
  • Build and maintain validation roadmaps, timelines, deliverable trackers, and resource requirement plans.
  • Support test and certification reviews by capturing action items and following up on ownership and closure.
  • Coordinate the ordering, shipment, and delivery of prototype validation builds.
  • Track build-to-build variation and its impact on downstream testing and compliance work.
  • Prepare executive-ready status updates covering program risks, progress, and next steps.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Industrial, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Clear communication skills, strong follow-up habits, and the ability to ask effective questions.
  • Comfort working with ambiguity and collaborating across teams and organizational levels.
  • Interest in renewable energy, energy infrastructure, and hardware program execution.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or Excel is helpful but not required.
  • Prior internship, co-op, or project experience in an engineering or technical environment is a plus.
