TL;DR
Apprentice Spacecraft Technician (Spacecraft Manufacturing/Integration): Supporting mechanical assembly, spacecraft integration, and component testing with an accent on hands-on production, hardware handling, and adherence to detailed procedures. Focus on learning fastening, torquing, measurement, environmental testing, and maintaining FOD, ESD, cleanliness, safety, and hardware-handling standards.

Location: Fully onsite at the Centennial, Colorado office

Salary: $22–$34 per hour for the listed technician base salary; the position is non-exempt and eligible for overtime.

What you will do

  • Support spacecraft mechanical assembly and integration.
  • Assist with installing and removing spacecraft components and flight hardware.
  • Perform fastening, torquing, taping, hardware installation, and other mechanical operations after training.
  • Support spacecraft and component test setup, environmental testing, and functional testing.
  • Read work instructions, procedures, drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Handle hardware and materials, maintain shop organization and production standards, document completed work, and communicate discrepancies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 0–1 year of hands-on manufacturing, mechanical, technical, automotive, aerospace, or similar experience.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn hand and power tools.
  • Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work across multiple production areas and support changing production priorities.
  • Must meet U.S. Government ITAR requirements: U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected-individual status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorizations.

Nice to have

  • Trade school, technical school, automotive, manufacturing, mechanical, aviation, electronics, or similar hands-on experience.
  • Exposure to engineering drawings, work instructions, torque tools, or measurement equipment.
  • Previous manufacturing or production experience.
  • Interest in spacecraft manufacturing, integration, and testing.
