Workshop Technician Apprentice

What you will do

• Assemble, disassemble, inspect, and test vacuum pumps under the guidance of experienced technicians.
• Follow the weekly production plan and meet quality, volume, efficiency, and customer due-date targets.
• Perform leak tests, assist with troubleshooting failures, and report more complex problems for resolution.
• Use drawings, schematics, work instructions, and technical specifications to inspect parts, assemblies, and systems.
• Check calibrated tooling before use and maintain the work area according to 6S and housekeeping standards.
• Complete production paperwork, follow Kanban and VTPS standards, and contribute feedback for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing or a similar environment.
• High school education, preferably in a mechanical or technical field.
• Ability to work with hand and power tools and read drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Good PC literacy; SAP experience is advantageous.
• Willingness to work shifts, maintain time flexibility, and demonstrate attention to detail and reliability.
• Some knowledge of English is a significant advantage.
