Advanced Manufacturing Support Technician

Location: Torrance, California, United States; onsite production-floor role

Salary: $27–$43 per hour, depending on Technician I/T01 or Technician II/T02 level. A 6% shift differential is offered for second shift.

What you will do

• Support machinists and technicians with part preparation, loading and unloading, racking, and material movement.
• Perform deburring, hand trimming, polishing, cleaning, and other post-machining tasks.
• Move parts between work centers and support shipping and receiving activities.
• Assist with light mechanical assembly, coolant checks, chip removal, preventive maintenance, and facility upkeep.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, band saws, drill presses, and other shop equipment.
• Follow work instructions, maintain FOD and 6S standards, and contribute to a clean and safe work area.

Requirements

• Ability to lawfully access information and technology subject to U.S. export controls.
• High school diploma or equivalent, completed or in progress.
• Basic knowledge of calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, hand tools, power tools, and shop mathematics.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, work in confined areas, and lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted.
• Strong communication, teamwork, safety awareness, adaptability, and ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work a rotating 3–4 x 11 schedule, including possible weekend or extended hours.

Nice to have

• Ability to read work orders, drawings, specifications, manuals, and safety regulations.
• Experience with pencil, orbital, and angle grinders.
• Experience in an aerospace manufacturing facility.
