Senior Data Scientist (AI Lead)

Location: Hybrid, 2–3 days per week onsite at NYHQ in New York City, Collegeville, Cambridge, or Groton; Europe at any hirify.global site; or Montreal. Permanent U.S. work authorization is required. U.S. visa sponsorship is not available.

Annual base salary: $162,900–$271,500, plus a 20% bonus target and eligibility for a share-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do

• Own model selection and evaluation frameworks for AI-based workflows.
• Design cohort and customer or healthcare-provider segmentation methodologies using real-world data.
• Direct analytical logic and decisioning for agentic workflows.
• Partner with AI/ML Engineering to translate methodology into production-grade agents and pipelines.
• Collaborate with data architecture, analytics, medical, technical, and business stakeholders to improve data quality and workflow adoption.
• Mentor junior data scientists and data engineering colleagues while supporting strategic analytical planning.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, Clinical Informatics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of data science experience with a PhD, 7+ with a master’s degree, or 8+ with a bachelor’s degree, preferably in healthcare.
• Healthcare or pharmaceutical data experience, including claims, EHR, and HEDIS/OMOP frameworks.
• Hands-on experience evaluating and experimenting with LLMs and agentic systems.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial design, GCP, drug development, regulatory and promotional guidance, legal and compliance requirements, and data interpretation.
• Permanent U.S. work authorization is required; U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
