Senior Data Scientist – Agentic AI & Multi-Cloud Architecture - Active Top Secret Clearance

Location: Remote; Conditions: North Charleston, South Carolina. The role may require significant travel, up to or more than 25% of the time.

Salary: $160,000–$220,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead the architecture and implementation of enterprise Agentic AI capabilities for PEO Digital modernization initiatives.
• Design portable AI architectures across Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP, on-premises, hybrid-cloud, and edge environments.
• Build multi-agent systems supporting orchestration, autonomous task planning, tool execution, workflow automation, reasoning, and RAG.
• Lead containerized AI deployments using Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, GitOps, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Design production inference environments using open-weight LLMs, Hugging Face, vLLM, and Text Generation Inference.
• Advise government stakeholders, present architecture recommendations, mentor technical staff, and support technical solutioning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, artificial intelligence, engineering, mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
• Active Top Secret Clearance required.
• 10+ years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, AI, or cloud engineering, including 5+ years designing enterprise AI or ML solutions.
• Experience with multi-cloud AI architecture across Azure, AWS, GCP, and Azure Arc, plus Kubernetes and containerized applications.
• Strong Python skills and experience with production machine learning pipelines, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Familiarity with large language models, generative AI, and strong technical communication and presentation skills.

Nice to have

• Master's or Ph.D. in AI, machine learning, computer science, data science, applied mathematics, or a related discipline.
• Experience with Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, LangGraph, RAG, vector databases, Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock, or Google Vertex AI.
• Experience supporting Department of Defense, PEO Digital, IL5, or classified computing environments.
• Relevant Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, Security+, or PMP certifications.
