Senior Director, Medical AI and Data

Location: Raritan, New Jersey, United States of America. Up to 20% domestic and international travel required.

Salary: $196,000–$342,700 USD per year

What you will do

• Lead the strategic application of Data, AI, automation, and emerging technologies across Global Medical Affairs and GCSO.
• Build and scale AI and Data capabilities, adoption programs, workflow redesigns, and transformation initiatives.
• Design the operating model, talent strategy, and governance framework for digital and AI transformation.
• Track AI and Data metrics, report value realization, and coordinate initiatives with Medical Affairs, Commercial Data and AI, Market Access, regional teams, and R&D.
• Co-create customer-centric solutions with cross-functional stakeholders and lead organizational change.
• Serve as a member of the Global Medical Affairs leadership team.

Requirements

• At least 12 years of related experience, including 7 years in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Bachelor's degree required; a master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Operations Research, or Data Sciences is preferred.
• Experience designing and delivering AI products, solutions, change management, and adoption programs across multiple groups.
• Ability to translate complex AI, digital, scientific, and operational topics into recommendations, training materials, SOPs, and scalable playbooks.
• Proven experience leading teams, influencing senior-level decisions, managing vendors, and delivering cross-functional matrix initiatives.
• Experience in Medical Affairs, AI/GenAI, agentic AI, AI adoption, and agentic workflow design is highly preferred.
