Principal Business Analyst (Cell & Gene Therapy Commercial Technology)

Location: Boston, MA, United States. Hybrid work is available remotely up to two days per week, or the role may be performed on-site five days per week.

Salary: $164,400–$246,600 base salary per year, plus eligibility for an annual bonus and annual equity awards.

What you will do

• Partner with commercial, Cell & Gene Therapy, and technology stakeholders to define strategies, priorities, requirements, and solution outcomes.
• Lead business process analysis, requirements gathering, solution design, and documentation for complex commercial technology initiatives.
• Support technology capabilities across patient services, order management, field enablement, commercial analytics, data integration, and end-to-end patient journeys.
• Help define and deliver AI and automation use cases, including opportunities for process standardization, digitization, and optimization.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, developers, data teams, vendors, and business stakeholders throughout delivery.
• Support testing, user acceptance testing, training, adoption planning, change management, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
• Significant business analysis, product delivery, or process improvement experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or another regulated industry.
• Experience supporting commercial business functions and technology platforms, preferably in life sciences.
• Ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives and elicit, document, validate, and manage business and functional requirements.
• Experience across the product or system delivery lifecycle, including planning, requirements, testing, implementation, and post-go-live support.
• Strong communication, facilitation, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and stakeholder management skills, with knowledge of compliance and documentation expectations in regulated environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with Cell & Gene Therapy commercial models, Salesforce, AI, automation, digital transformation, or system integration.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical commercial operations, including field engagement, market access, patient support, launch planning, specialty distribution, HUB operations, and reimbursement workflows.
• Experience with CRM, data visualization, customer engagement, and commercial analytics platforms.
• Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, Agile, Scrum, or Lean Six Sigma, or an advanced degree.
