Senior IT Auditor, Assurance & Advisory

Location: Toronto office at 483 Bay Street, moving to the Mississauga office at 3 Robert Speck Parkway in approximately late 2026. Flexible hybrid schedule. Current work authorization for Canada is required.

Salary: CAD 123,000–140,000 annually, plus a discretionary performance bonus.

What you will do

• Plan and execute technology audit scope, fieldwork, testing, and reporting within agreed timelines.
• Assess IT general and application controls across technology applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud computing, data governance, and emerging technologies.
• Document testing, form conclusions, identify control weaknesses, and help Technology develop remediation action plans.
• Draft audit reports describing findings, business impact, and control enhancement opportunities, then validate and close issues with stakeholders.
• Perform business-unit risk assessments and evaluate initiatives, regulatory changes, emerging risks, and gaps in the technology audit universe.
• Coordinate integrated audits with business auditors, external auditors, and the broader Fidelity technology audit team.

Requirements

• Current authorization to work in Canada is required.
• 5+ years of related experience and a university degree in accounting, computer science, IT, or an equivalent background.
• CISA, CISM, or an equivalent certification; CISSP or security-related certifications are advantageous.
• Experience leading IT application and infrastructure audit engagements from planning through reporting, preferably in financial services, asset management, or brokerage.
• Strong knowledge of technology controls, audit principles, and IIA, ISACA, and NIST standards.
• Hands-on experience with Windows, Linux, iOS, Android, Oracle, SQL, Snowflake, AWS, Office 365, Azure, cybersecurity, and ransomware.

Nice to have

• Experience with data analytics, application programming, Agile auditing, crypto, or blockchain.
• Strong understanding of emerging technologies, including AI and machine learning.
