Cloud Security, Senior Specialist

Location: Toronto, Canada; flexible hybrid work model. hirify.global Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity is required.

Salary: CAD 110,000–130,000 annually, plus eligibility for a short-term incentive plan.

What you will do

• Design and implement cloud security controls across AWS, Azure, and hybrid environments.
• Secure identity, networking, data protection, and cloud platform configurations.
• Build reusable security patterns using infrastructure-as-code and policy-as-code.
• Integrate security guardrails into CI/CD pipelines and improve automation.
• Configure CSPM, CNAPP, IAM, and related cloud security tooling while improving coverage, visibility, and reporting.
• Support threat modelling, cloud security incident investigations, risk prioritization, and remediation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive information security experience in enterprise environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Security.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, cloud IAM, and native security capabilities.
• Experience with CSPM, CWPP, SSPM, CNAPP, SIEM, SOAR, IPS/IDS, vulnerability management, and EDR tools.
• High proficiency in Python and Java, plus Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Knowledge of OWASP, ISO 27001/2, NIST, cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies; ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• CCSP, CISSP, CISM, AWS Security Specialty, or Azure Security Engineer certification.
• Experience translating technical and compliance requirements into engineering roadmaps.
