Senior Staff Software Engineer - QA (Storage)

Location: Remote (United States)

Salary: $160,000–$220,000 base salary per year

What you will do

• Lead testing of storage features through product design participation, test strategy development, hands-on testing, and automation.
• Review feature designs and provide feedback to improve product quality and testability.
• Design cross-functional, system, stress, and vulnerability-focused testing strategies.
• Work with developers on feature validation, bug fixes, test cases, and regression testing.
• Collaborate with the tools team to develop automation for product features.
• Reproduce and debug customer issues with Customer Support while working remotely with a global team.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with NFS and SMB protocols, Windows and/or Linux, and multiple operating systems including Linux, Windows, and VMware.
• Experience testing NAS file systems and building test pipelines and infrastructure from a QA perspective.
• Software test development experience with shell scripting and Python.
• Experience with packet capture tools such as Wireshark and tcpdump.
• Experience writing and executing complex system-level test plans, test cases, and test reports.
• BS in Computer Science with 10+ years of experience or MS in Computer Science with 8+ years of experience.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Windows Server and Active Directory administration.
