Quality Automation Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid, with 3 days onsite in hirify.global offices in Chicago, Illinois; New York City, New York; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; or Jacksonville, Florida.

Salary: $72,030–$122,450 USD annually

What you will do

• Develop comprehensive test strategies and plans for financial software applications.
• Execute manual, automated, performance, security, and regression testing.
• Build and improve test automation frameworks, tools, and QA methodologies.
• Identify, document, and track defects in collaboration with software developers.
• Validate RESTful and SOAP services, backend data, and database consistency.
• Use AI-assisted testing tools to generate test data, improve coverage, and identify defects faster.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, preferably in fintech or a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, automation frameworks, and defect management.
• Hands-on experience with Browser Developer Tools, Postman, RESTful services, SQL queries, and backend data validation.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, Sprint-based environments and reprioritize tasks as project needs change.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Current or future visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with Oracle SQL and the listed engineering and testing technology stack.
