Director, Technology (Dental Technology)

Location: Remote within the United States; up to 10% travel as needed. Not currently hiring individuals residing in Delaware, Hawaii, North Dakota, Rhode Island, Vermont, Puerto Rico, and other US territories.

Salary: $165,000–$210,000 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus target.

What you will do

• Translate business strategy and growth priorities into a technology roadmap, surfacing technical implications, tradeoffs, risks, and opportunities.
• Set strategic technology objectives and long-range plans while addressing legacy systems and technical debt.
• Communicate technology direction and investment priorities to executives, team members, and stakeholders.
• Evaluate and champion practical AI capabilities for engineering, quality assurance, product quality, delivery speed, and operations.
• Improve software development, QA, release management, and delivery controls to increase reliability, predictability, and quality.
• Lead and develop blended internal, outsourced, offshore, and virtual engineering, QA, infrastructure, and web development teams.

Requirements

• 12+ years of progressive Information Technology experience, including 5+ years leading IT teams in senior leadership roles with end-to-end IT ownership.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
• Broad knowledge of web application development, including WordPress, backend development, databases, integrations, infrastructure, systems administration, QA, and digital platform operations.
• Experience supporting customer-facing digital platforms and balancing reliability, usability, conversion, operational efficiency, and business performance.
• Strong understanding of the SDLC, project delivery, continuous improvement, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proven ability to build high-performing blended teams, translate business strategy into technology investments, manage technical debt and risk, and apply AI tools to engineering, QA, or operational workflows.
