Director Solution Development (AI)

Location: Remote

Salary: $105,200–$147,950, commensurate with experience and location.

What you will do

• Lead the software engineering and support team responsible for digital platform stability, defect resolution, and incremental system enhancements.
• Evaluate and prioritize requests based on business impact, urgency, technical feasibility, and strategic alignment.
• Establish processes for managing defects, incidents, enhancement requests, ticketing, resolution timelines, and stakeholder communication.
• Analyze defect and enhancement trends to identify proactive improvements and efficiency gains.
• Drive adoption of agentic AI coding tools, including reusable tooling and reliable workflows, across the engineering team.
• Communicate priorities, timelines, risks, constraints, and trade-offs with business stakeholders and senior leaders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 6+ years of IT leadership experience focused on digital operations, technical support, and system enhancements.
• Experience with digital applications, software development lifecycles, IT support models, technical support, bug resolution, and application enhancement.
• Hands-on proficiency with agentic AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Codex, including prompt and context engineering, custom skills or commands, hooks, and MCP integrations.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow, Jira, or Azure DevOps and IT service management best practices.
• Strong people leadership, prioritization, stakeholder communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills, including verification of AI-generated work against tests, logs, and deployed-state evidence.

Nice to have

• Experience leading IT support and continuous improvement teams in a large enterprise environment.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, ITIL frameworks, and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with metrics-driven decision-making and process optimization.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification or an equivalent process-improvement credential.
