TL;DR
Lead Maintenance Technician (Electromechanical Maintenance): Leading hands-on maintenance and repair of electromechanical equipment in an industrial battery materials facility with an accent on preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, and production support. Focus on diagnosing complex electrical and mechanical issues, coordinating emergency repairs, and enforcing safety protocols across a night-shift maintenance team.

Location: McCarran, Nevada, United States. Night shift: 6:00pm–6:00am, Thursday–Saturday, every other Wednesday. Weekend, night, and on-call availability may be required.

What you will do

  • Lead and mentor electromechanical maintenance technicians and provide shift-level technical direction.
  • Schedule and assign maintenance work, coordinate daily activities, and support the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans with planners to reduce equipment downtime.
  • Diagnose complex electromechanical issues and coordinate repair or replacement of components.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams on maintenance projects and respond to emergency repairs.
  • Enforce safety protocols, participate in audits and investigations, and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience in production or plant maintenance.
  • Experience troubleshooting heavy commercial equipment, motors, pneumatics, sensors, PLCs, I/O, VFDs, and AC/DC electrical systems.
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and disassemble and reassemble complex mechanical systems.
  • Strong leadership, team management, communication, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and process improvement skills.
  • Knowledge of maintenance safety requirements, including OSHA, Lockout/Tagout, and confined-space protocols.
  • Ability to use CMMS and Microsoft Office applications and work in industrial conditions while wearing PPE, standing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

  • Previous leadership experience.
  • Experience with fabrication and welding.
