Field Service Lead (Electrical Systems)

Location: Illinois, Michigan, Plano, Texas, and other locations in the United States; frequent customer-site work and travel of up to 75% may be required.

What you will do

• Lead start-up and commissioning activities for electrical equipment across multiple customer sites.
• Supervise, coach, mentor, and technically support approximately eight field service technicians.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting support for electrical equipment, control systems, and distribution systems.
• Coordinate tools, materials, documentation, staffing, schedules, factory witness tests, and shop testing.
• Resolve job-site punch-list items, coordinate with project managers, and ensure documentation and project closeout.
• Identify risks and product-quality concerns and collaborate with management, production, engineering, and commercial teams on resolution.

Requirements

• Associate degree, vocational training, military experience, or equivalent experience with power distribution systems.
• At least two years of field service experience focused on electrical equipment start-up and commissioning.
• Experience with switchgear, electrical distribution systems, or electrical control systems is preferred.
• Understanding of lock-out/tag-out procedures involving multiple power sources is required.
• Strong communication, teamwork, organization, independent working, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to bend, lift, and carry equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Prior supervisory or lead-level experience.
• Familiarity with advanced communication protocols and networking concepts.
